Richard Martinez is a trial attorney with over 16 years of trial experience. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1987.
During his last year of law school, he interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office under Janet Reno. After Law school, she hired him as one of her office’s prosecutors.
Later, Mr. Martinez was cross-designated as a federal prosecutor. As a prosecutor, he gained extensive trial experience trying countless felony jury trials and developed a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system from within the prosecutor’s office.
After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Martinez became a Partner with a civil firm in Miami and litigated complex civil cases while maintaining a state and federal criminal defense practice.
